We are actively seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance Team as a Hands-on Financial Accountant in an Almost Controller role. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with talented colleagues and play a crucial role in our financial operations.For a few weeks each month, you will have the opportunity to work from home, approximately three days a week, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare relevant financial information for statutory reporting and tax filing.
- Conduct related balance sheet reconciliations and analyses.
- Ensure compliance with local GAAP/IFRS and internal control requirements following group guidelines.
- Manage working capital reporting and activities.
- Assist the financial manager in capital budgeting projects, annual budget exercises, and quarterly forecasts.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to enhance operational/strategic decision-making.
- Support transactional input and maintain the General Ledger for Fixed Assets, Cash, Prepaids, Accruals, and Intercompany transactions.
- Create and post related journal entries in SAP, ensuring compliance with Croda group policies and requirements.
- Adhere to month/year-end reporting timelines.
- Execute additional duties/projects to streamline and enhance the financial reporting process.
Qualifications:
We expect you to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Some experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good understanding of local GAAP and IFRS.
- Familiarity with internal controls.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP, is desirable.
